Scheduling classes? This info is helpful:
Segment Producers and actors/package crew meet at 7:00pm on Mondays; writing staff meets at 6:30pm on Mondays. Studio staff is only required to attend Thursdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm during our tapings.
Studios times cannot be adjusted, but other meeting times can be rearranged if necessary. If you have further questions, please contact the Executive Producer

RESPONSIBILITIES (last revised April 22, 2009)

Management

Executive Producer

* Assigns all positions.
* Check in with promotions director and guest relations director.
* Attend Monday meetings
* Attend/oversee all tapings and act upon any technical difficulties
* Attend Cardinal Vision meetings
* Responsible for recording the show
* Manages all accounts (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, bsulatenight.com)

Co-Executive Producer

* Attend Cardinal Vision meetings when E.P. is unable
* Attend all Monday meetings
* Attend all tapings
* Fills duties as requested by the Executive Producer

Talent

Host

* Attend all writing meetings
* Attend all tapings
* Be available from 5pm – 7pm every Thursday

Co-Host

* Attend all writing meetings
* Attend all tapings
* Be available from 5pm – 7pm every Thursday

Production Staff

Segment Producers

* Produce a segment once every two weeks
* Have a script available for actors at Monday’s assignment meetings
* Pitch segments to writers
* Responsible for obtaining cast/crew
* WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE THIS FALL TO TRAIN HOW TO WRITE/PRODUCE/EDIT A PACKAGE!

Q. Can segment producers write their own package?
A. Yes! The 'writing team' is only responsible for writing for the actual show and transistions to your packages, your package is YOURS to write/direct/produce!

Actors/Actresses

* Respond to emails with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when requests for talent are sent out
* Attend Monday’s assignment meetings

Package Crew

* Respond to emails with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when requests for talent are sent out
* Attend Monday’s assignment meetings

Studio Staff

Director

* Directs show
* Holds a crew meeting at least ten minutes prior to show start time
* In charge of camera/light check
* Turns on ‘on-air’ light when recording
* Pre-req: Camera, Tech Director

Tech Director

* Listens to Director to switch cameras

Floor Director

* Communication liason between director and host/co-host
* Provides countdown for host/co-host
* Times host/co-host
* Notifies audience members to turn off all cell phones
* Turns on/off microphones as instructed by the audio director

Audio Director

* Responsible in ensuring all microphones are working
* Meets with floor director before the show for run-down of microphones

Assist. Audio Director

* Assists audio director

VTR/Profiler

* Ingests segments before each show
* Plays segments each show

Camera 1-3

* Critical focus during packages
* Listens to director

Camera 2

* Pre-req: Camera 1 or 2

Promotions Department

Promotions Director

* Coordinates promotions efforts
* Promotes shows through facebook, flyers, and tickets in order to obtain a live studio audience
* Required to adhere to BSU Late Night promotions guidelines

Promotions Team

* Works with promotions director and completes tasks as needed.

Show Quality Control

Writing Staff

* Writes monologues
* Writes in-studios
* Creates transitions to packages

Guest Relations Director

* Responsible for obtaining guests
* Welcomes guest into the studio, or assigns greeter
* Conducts all business with an @bsulatenight.com email address
* Researches guests and provides questions for in-studio interview, when necessary
